Windows beats expectations, by selling almost 40 million licenses in just 100 days after release. It is the best selling operating system ever, ’till date and it should stay still until Microsoft releases another version, in a few years, as Apple won’t gain such a big part of the cake to sell that many operating systems. This success was expected, as the number of computers is continuously growing and they all need an operating system to run.
