The iPhone will go on sale today at 18:30 in Orange stores across France, as France Telecom announced. The iPhone costs €399 and a monthly fee between €49 and €119. The phone could be unlocked for free after 6 months or you could pay €100 to unlock it earlier, but you will still have a contract of 1 or 2 years with Orange. You could also buy the iPhone contract free for €649, and in addition if you want to unlock it you will pay €100.
