Although rickshaws may seem like vehicles that were used centuries ago, pretty much every major city in the world still has some rickshaw-like automobiles. SolarLab from London decided to resurrect the rickshaw spirit and bring a modern and almost futuristic aspect to it: the solar power.
Their latest product, the SolarCab, is a cab that draws 80% of its energy needs from solar panels mounted on the shell, and the rest of 20% is supplied by the driver’s pedaling. But don’t think he’ll have a hard time doing that, because the solar energy will take most of the load off his feet…
