Thomson showed to the media a pretty interesting phone - it’s a cordless DECT VoiP phone called Symbio which also features Internet radio. This innovative device supports Wireless DECT VoiP, has RSS capability, hands-free, LCD screen and HD sound, among others. For the moment I will call it a concept because this is not available anywhere and they didn’t announce any pricing. I was surfing on the Internet and I came across to one of the most interesting designs for the PC of the future. The PC concept is called Cuppa and is based on the RFID which stands for Radio-Frequency Identification. This method is used by small devices named tags which are integrated in objects in order to be identified from a few meters through radio waves, but there are also RFID versions without chips.

Do you remember the Very Large Array or VLA radio telescope situated in New Mexico desert? Well he’s getting an upgrade. The plans are to transform it into Expanded Very Large Array. VLA is the one that discovered the ice on Mercury and now, with the help of the Expanded VLA you can have cell phone signal even on Jupiter. The upgrade will cost $94 million which seems to much, but it’s big step in the quest for finding new galaxies, stars or even aliens.
