Effects of overclocking reached insane levels at Corsair labs: they made a 1GB stick of Dominator DDR3 SDRAM to run at 2462MHz, which is the highest frequency ever encountered in RAMs. This is heaven for gamers, as, along with other appropriate PC components, these sticks can make any resources-consuming application run very smoothly.

The new technology called array-based memory has been under development at Nanochip, Inc. for 12 years, and looks like the time has come for this company to harvest their rewards for the work and money invested all this time.
This new system is expected to bypass current NAND technology, whose possibilities are limited by the miniaturization capability of lithography, and reach a level of one TB of data on a single chip.
According to Computerworld, Nanochip Inc. are backed by Intel and other strong companies and by 2010 the first chip is …

CompactFlash Association has announced the development of a new memory technology which could be introduced in the course of next year. The only drawback is that the CFast , as it’s called the new version, is not compatible with current camera models.
According to John Santoro, senior marketing manager for Lexar, the cards are destined for high-end cameras because of the high-speed data transfer and therefore he rushes big companies to start working on the development of new high-end cameras in order to support this technology.

MetaRam has presented a new technology for desktops which is supposed to accelerate DRAM densities by 2 to 4 years. The new technology is called MetaSDRAM and it consists of an increase of the memory. They aim to double or even quadruple the amount of memory with the help of the 8GB or 16Gb chipsets that work at 667MT/s. The DDR2 SDRAMs can be introduced into D-RIMMs without the necessity to change software of hardware configuration. According to MetaRam they will start shipping as of next month but for the …

A researcher named Joseph Ashwood inspired from the multicore processors to begin working on the multicore memory, that he sees in stores in the next few years. He began designing the multicore memory and has been reviewed by a team from Carnegie Mellon.
If his plans will actually work, his design will allow memory to get bigger and also faster, because his planning to organize data in a new way, across individual memory cells. He states that doubling the size will also double the memory speed, with a ratio of 1:1 …
