BLU LED displays for MacBooks from 2009

According to the Chinese-language paper Economic Daily News, Apple plans to include exclusively BLU LED displays for all their MacBooks, starting next year. The same publication also states that Kenmos, their Taiwanese supplier of LEDs, could reach 1.5 million units this year, five times more than in 2007.

DIY SSD Tested

Solid State Disks or SSDs are being tested by “developers” in order to make them cheaper and to increase the capacity. The latest idea is to use a flash to SATA adapter. The usually price for this storage would be between $600 and $1000, but they managed to reduce the cost to an unbelievable $100. The results say that the DIY SSD are faster than the traditional drive available for MacBook Air, even faster than the Vaio Tz 64GB.

Apple MacBook Air Review

The new MacBook Air is the thinnest laptop yet, but as Apple got us used with quality is also very sturdy. Still, it’s not the ultimate ultra-portable laptop, but it’s very good at it and has great performances for it’s extreme sizes. Being only 0.76 inches think in it’s thickest part, it’s even better than the standard 13-inch MacBook on some parts, but sure, it lacks some important features.

With MacBook Air at MacWorld, Apple released more informations about the notebook. It features a single-link micro-DVI out so it can support 24-inch monitor, not 30-inch, and still there is no DisplayLink adapter. MacBook Air SuperDrive to Ship in 2-3 Weeks

For those that have already pre-ordered MacBook Air or are planning to buy it, Apple has announced the MacBook Air SuperDrive. The dual-layer burner only weights 1.06 pounds and is powered by USB, looking just as the MacBook Air laptop.
It has a built-in cable and it’s reading / writing at speeds of 24x CD-R, 8x DVD±R and 4x Dual Layer. Until now we don’t know when it will be available, but we assume it will come once with the MacBook Air laptop, as it’s designed especially for it. And when …
