700 Cameras Flash Over The Brooklyn Bridge

ImprovEverywhere recently published pictures from ‘The Camera Flash Experiment’ they organized. The event took place to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge, and 700 people were present, each one with their own camera.

Super Talent Introduces The Smallest 8GB Flash Drive

The chips that Super Talent are offering are simply incredible. The thing that makes me say that they are very tiny and now the 8GB flash drive is the smallest in the world. The miniature chips measure about 31.3mm x 12.4mm x 3.4mm and they are available for a price of about $35.
The Pico Series supports 200 MB/s meaning about 200x of transfer speed. Its manufacturers made them “portable”, as you can wear them as a necklace or attach them to keychains and cell phones.

CompactFlash Announces CFast - Could Enter On The Market Next Year

CompactFlash Association has announced the development of a new memory technology which could be introduced in the course of next year. The only drawback is that the CFast , as it’s called the new version, is not compatible with current camera models.
According to John Santoro, senior marketing manager for Lexar, the cards are destined for high-end cameras because of the high-speed data transfer and therefore he rushes big companies to start working on the development of new high-end cameras in order to support this technology.

Domino-Shaped Flash Drive Indicates Used Space

A Brazilian design, called Marcos Breder, has designed a good-looking flash drive, domino-shaped. The flash drives represent halves of dominoes and can be inserted one in each other, but that’s not all. They have dots on them, that each represent a giga of space loaded on the drive. The drives are quite practical and also funny, but we don’t know anything yet of release date or pricing, unfortunately.
