Battery Concept For Laptop That Doesn’t Explode

In 2006 many MacBooks and ThinkPads were recalled because their manufacturers spotted some problems at the batteries, problems that could make them catch fire. Nowadays, the batteries seem to have regained their safety, but specialists warn that they still can catch fire in case of “mistreatment”.
Researchers are trying to eliminate entirely the risks therefore a team of developers from the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC, Germany, announced that they replaced the “the inflammable organic electrolytes with a non-flammable polymer that retains its shape”. BulbDial Clock Concept Doesn’t Need Sunlight

Personally, I am really fond of clocks but there are some concepts that don’t impress me much. Somehow I felt that something was forcing me to show it to you. This clock concept was designed by David from Ironic Sans and it’s called BulbDial Clock.
The concept looks more like a clock of our ancestors but it doesn’t use sunlight to function, but some lamps that rotate around the central pole. Although it’s only a concept, it would look great in dim spaces and restaurants.

Cone-Shaped Aura Speaker Concept

Speaker design has always been a headache for most people that wanted to decorate their rooms nicely. Paul Scarfe noticed that and he started to develop a cool-looking speaker. He drew a cone-shaped concept speaker called Aura and he provided it with hi-tech bass and treble amplifiers. The designer combined metal, plastic and wood in order to make Aura produce the best sound using resonance. Check out the gallery below and I’m sure that you will love this cool speaker.

Here is another folding laptop concept and this is very interesting because you might turn into a PDA or a mobile phone. The Flexi PDA is waterproof when folded up and it features some very cool flexible screen technology. Climbing Robot, Perfect For Martian Cliffs

A team of researchers from the Stanford University, California, have designed a robot which could climb vertical walls and is destined to climb Martian hills and cliffs in order to find rocks that will help the humanity to learn more about Mars’s geology. The Perfect Climber Called C-Bot

Here is a robot concept designed to climb walls and to diagnose the integrity of a building’s structure. The robot is called C-Bot and it climbs walls in a clever way using its footpads which are covered in nano-hair. Another feature that helps it when climbing is a sensor which emits ultrasonic rays.
