Sony’s XDR-S3HD

18 August 2007 No Comment

SOny HD Radio

The new Sony XDR-S3HD home HD radio is a very interesting design, mainly because of the mid-century and yet modern design it offers. The display is simple and very easy to read. It even uses RDS, which is an added plus. XDR-S3HD has a phone-like reception meter that can also work with FM/AM. Talking about sound you should not expect anything spectacular but it still decent enough for such a device. What does not look good stands in the fact that you can not unplug it from the unit and channel scanning is done with a dial. It is old school but it can be a flop when it comes to users that look for modern technology.  All together it looks like a decent HD radio but will not sell that much as to compared with models from the competition.
