Sharp LC-52D92U
The design has always been very good in LCD televisions done by Sharp. It has a jewel-like appearance and a newfangled speaker.
It measures 50.2×34.4×12.2 with the speaker and stand attached and weighs 71.7 pounds. It also has a 1,920×1,080 pixels resolution which allows you to esolve every detail of 1080i and 1080p HDTV sources. There are some useful features, like the control over picture; it has five preset picture modes which can be adjusted, a sixth that cannot and also a seventh, called “User,” that’s independent per input. It also has a 32-step backlight control, plenty of range to coax and nice deep black from the set. It has the ability to display really dark black, which is very good.

The light-sensing circuit that automatically adjusts the TVs light output is very useful but when it’s very dark or there is a lot of light, the performance is not that good. Also, Sharp throws in the requisite ATSC tune, but it doesn’t have the picture-in-picture. At least it has a freeze option.
The picture quality is very good and the 120Hz refresh rate is a downside, but not a big one. Also, it is able to handle standard-definition. It also works well as a PC display. Not very bad, not very good. Too bad for the screen uniformity and it also it’s not cheap. Price is $3012.00.
