Sanyo decided the EX-F1 slow motion digital camera from Casio needs some competition, so they released this Xacti HD1010 slow motion camcorder to keep them busy. The 1080i HD camera can apply face detection for up to 12 people simultaneously, and has 300 frame per second slow motion as well as seven frame per second while still recording.
The camcorder also uses decreased noise compared to previous Xactis, increased low light sensitivity and increases picture quality pushing the bitrate at 14Mbps. Its impressive f/1.8-2.5 lens has 10X optical zoom, which makes a 35mm equivalent range of 38-380mm. The 2.7 inch LCD and image stabilization make it a serious competitor for Casio’s EX-F1.
