SanDisk Launches 8GB and 16GB ExpressCards

14 September 2007 No Comment

SanDisk Express CardsSanDisk recently launched the SanDism Express line of flash memory products. They are based on ExpressCard technology and the entire line aims to deliver high quality solutions to video photographers and regular photographers that need reliability, speed and durability. The Express line gets started with the first product, tagged simply as SanDisk ExpressCard. It will be available in two versions: 8 GB and 16 GB.

By using this flash memory stick you can end up recording 30 to 60 minutes of high definition video at 35 frames per second. Combine it with a soon to be launched Sony XDCAM EX and you could double on that thanks to the camera’s dual ExpressCard slots. The only set back to the situation is that the new cards will be expensive. The 8 GB version will cost $500 and the 16 GB card will be $900. Both are set to be released in November.
