Raindrops Could Generate Power

In a world desperate to find new ways of producing energy, Jean-Jacques Chaillout of the Atomic Energy Commission in Grenoble, France, found a new way to produce it. According to his tests, piezoelectric materials are perfect in generating power when the raindrops hit them. The amount of energy created depends on how big are the raindrops, because different size drops cause the piezoelectric materials to vibrate in different ways. We think this is a great idea and we encourage these attempts to create energy.
