Pinnacle PCTV To Go HD Wireless Review
This product was released in 2006 by the company was really interested in licensing the product to a larger company with better image . And this happened few months foward , now , The Pinnacle Pc to go wirless hd is a clone of the hava wireless hd . They are the same .
Like all the same products , this pinnacle pctv to go wireless hd
’s mission is to deliver the signal from your tv to you pc , in order to watch from your pc what is shown on tv. But this product is a little more different than the others . First of all we must say that it has wireless capability , that’s pretty new for a product like this , secondly, it integrates with a PC running Windows Media Center Edition (either the XP or Vista Premium/Ultimate flavors) and you can record all kinds of movies that are shown on tv on your computer . You won’t miss a show . And this Pinnacle has multicasting too !
Design and connectivity
The Pinnacle PCTV to go to Wirless HD is a little bit different than the Hava Wireless HD. It’s black and has a nicer design than the Hava. It measures 2 inches high by 12 inches wide by 7 inches deep . Not very very slim , but it’s stylish . It has four status leds that are green .
The rear panel has many many jacks , more than a DvD player , we can say . There are S-video , stereo audio jacks , and screw-type RF input . Because of the composite, S-video , and the component inputs you may need to purchase a Y-cable adapters to feed them simultaneously , but this can’t be so expensive .
The PCTV To Go HD Wireless can handle multiple video sources, but it’s got only a single audio input.
This is a little bit strange . Just look on the rear panel too see that there is a connector for the included dual-headed IR blaster, which remotely controls the A/V sources of your choice, such as cable/satellite boxes and DVRs. And the Pinnacle has a standard Ethernet port and dual wireless antennas .

Setup
If you want to setup your Pinnacle by yourself it will be a little bit tricky . First of all you need to connect the A/V cables to the video source . After that you must connect it to your network , and this needs installing the included software that comes with the Pinnacle . It’s almost like setting up a dvd or vcr . You will enjoy the pass-through outputs that will let the pctv to go sit innocuously in the chain between your cable box and the a/v reciever without the need for splitters or other things .
When you will finish all these steps , and you power on the Pinnacle you must install the setup software to your pc . The setup is pretty easy , you don’t need advanced knowledge, and it’s interesting to , introducing you step by step on what this product can do . The setup program logs in to the Pinnacle itself–wirelessly–and asks you to input your network’s wireless encryption key (it supports WEP and WPA encryption) .
