Panasonic is trying to keep on with the competition and announces a new Blu-ray player, just after Pioneer’s release. The DMP-BD10A sports DTS-HD and Dolby True HD, along with 7.1 surround audio and the one-touch operation via the EZ-Sync. The player doesn’t have many improvements from the first line, but it can upconvert 1080p via HDMI, sports a 14 bits DA converter with 4x oversampling, it’s compatible with HD camcorders via it’s AVCHD ( H.264 ) codec and supports BD-J. It comes with Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, Transporter, Fantastic Four, and Crash bundled and it’s priced at $599.95, release date remaining unknown.
