nokia 6300 a slim yet powerful baby!

3 May 2007 No Comment

Nnokia is finally getting some pinch after the launch of the razr series by motorola this device seems to compete with the razr family.(thats what i feel).

nokia 6300

Well this one’s fairly slim and almost similar to nokia 6280 in terms of features.but still we need to review it so let’s get started.

the device is quite slim (slim enough to get lost though),weighs 90 grams (well too light)

sideways of 6300

Well i really feel the button placement is quite a bit painful specially for the people who have a bit fat fingers because the buttons placed in the line with the body so its quite painful to navigate or type with big fingers.

The memory card can be removed without switching off the phone, well i think nokia is gearing up to give a tough fight to its compitetors.

Nokia 6300 runs on series 40 interface so the ones addicted to series 60 have to pass this slim and powerful baby.

The music quality is okay and i really mean it because its not up to the mark,so people who were thinking to replace this for your ipod have to drop the idea (sadly),but the loudspeaker has proved its loudness so the one’s who are party animals can look upon this phone with respect!

The video recorder,fm and voice recorder are common features which the phone has.

Camera

The baby boasts a 2 mpx. camera, not good but not bad either.i can say 7/10.this picture was taken in broad daylight, not to forget the phone has all effect settings like night mode, false mode and others.the max. resolution is 1600×1200!

sample

The phone can take upto 3 successive shots in a go,night shooting is quite painful unless you are steady as a stone (well i am not),the missing feature here is autofocus (since i’ve used n90 i am used to it)

sample 2

Moving objects never come crisp, the 8x zoom is sadly worthless (i don’t need to say why)to be frank the camera cannot replace your handycam, your digicam,it’s good for simple photos but if you plan to be more creative i advise you to read the n95 review.

The phone has bluetooth 2.0, and has EDGE too,an inbuilt opera mini adds to the delight.the firmware can be updated over the air!!

7.8 mb inbuilt memory + 2gb microsd card (i feel thats much at this age)

in my hand

The battery is quit decent but cannot get more than 2 hours on talktime and 3 hrs of music.

The conclusion

Well the ones looking for a pain free phone,a decent camera(with no artistic capibilities),decent talktime can go for this one.the people looking for a stylish phone are sure to hit upon this one!
