Motorola Razr V3xx

26 March 2007 No Comment

It may not be bringing anything revolutionat, it does have some interesting and useful features added. It has stereo Bluetooth, an Opera Web browser, and improved call quality and it represents a step forward in the Razr family.

It measures 4.05 inches long by 2.08 inches thick by 0.6 inch thick and it weighs 3.8 ounces. The display is just a bit small, at 96 x 80 pixels but it has a 64,000 colour resolution, which makes up for that and should be ok. The left spine is home for the front flap just above the mini-USB slot and a smart key, which can be used for snapping vanity shots. The bad thing is that it has no flash; on the right spine you have a voice recorder button. The internal display is larger, at 2.25 inches and it has a 262,000 colour display. It is large, bright, and vibrant, but the design is not so interesting.

It can hold 1,000 contacts with room in each entry for six phone numbers, three e-mail addresses, a Web address, three street addresses, a nickname, a birthday, and notes (the SIM card holds an additional 250 names) and you can also group your contacts in groups and assign them pictures. The other options include vibrate modes, text and multimedia messaging, a voice recorder, a world clock, and the standard other things. The menu is easy to use, but it can be a bit dull. Also, it has the Opera Web which is very nice to use, and it is fast, it can fall in the 1.8Mbps.

It does have a 1.3-megaixel camera which is better than the previous models, but probably a 2-megapixel shooter. You get the standard settings, and can adjust three quality settings, an 8x zoom, six lighting conditions, a self timer, seven color effects, and three shutter sounds plus a silent option, but the image quality is not so good. It is about average. You have many ways to customize it, including variety of wallpaper, screensavers, color themes, and alert sounds and you can also get more options. The call quality is also very good, better than you probably would expect. Price is $39.99.
