MacBook Air SuperDrive to Ship in 2-3 Weeks

16 January 2008 No Comment

MAcBook Air SuperdriveFor those that have already pre-ordered MacBook Air or are planning to buy it, Apple has announced the MacBook Air SuperDrive. The dual-layer burner only weights 1.06 pounds and is powered by USB, looking just as the MacBook Air laptop.

It has a built-in cable and it’s reading / writing at speeds of 24x CD-R, 8x DVD±R and 4x Dual Layer. Until now we don’t know when it will be available, but we assume it will come once with the MacBook Air laptop, as it’s designed especially for it. And when we say it’s build especially for it, it means that it doesn’t work without it, this being a minus for it, because maybe people wanted to use it with other laptops and it’s quite limited. We should find out if it works or not once with it’s release in 2-3 weeks.
