IOGEAR’s Two New Student Devices

4 September 2007 No Comment

IOGEAR NEW

IOGEAR is aiming to help students with the upcoming school year. They just now introduced new products for their on-the-move student line, including a very useful 4 GB Flash Wallet Drive (GFD204B) and a 3 in 1 Wireless Phaser Presentation Mouse (GME422RW6).The Wallet Drive can be purchased for $69.95 MSRP and provides students with 4 GB of portable storage. The device stands at 3 mm thickness and is actually smaller than a business card, making it perfect for the concept of the on-the-move line. To make it even better, it also features included security software in order to protect information that can be crucial for the grades of one’s children. By using it, any student can bring their data to a classroom or computer lab and can work on different projects (and they can also share pictures and music of course). 4GB of space is more than enough for these tasks.

The 3 in 1 Wireless Phaser Presentation Mouse can be purchased for $59.95 MSRP and comes with offering a laser point, track ball for wireless use and optical capabilities for desktop computing. It is fully compatible with MACs and PCs and communicates with a USB receiver located up to 30 feet away. This is why it is ideal for classroom presentations. The top trackball means it can be used in the palm of one’s hand and this mouse can be used on a solid surface together with the possibility of switching it to an optical mode that operates between 800 and 1600 dpi. Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR declared:

“Students need affordable and practical tools for the upcoming school year. Our new mouse and flash drive meet their needs by providing added convenience and functionality for today’s hi-tech classroom.”
