HTC Close To The First Android Phone

HTC are almost ready to release the first mobile phone that will run on the Android software from Google, revealed a person aware of the situation progress. Still, they face serious competition from Samsung, as both of them started working on this project quite some time ago.
The new phone will be 5 inches long and 3 inches wide, and will have a keypad underneath the screen that will either swivel out or slide out. The purpose of the full QWERTY keypad is to make the phone easy to use for note-taking, e-mail, and writing Web addresses.
Android is an open source software which includes an operating system specially designed for easier Internet navigation. The new handset will probably be released for retail near the end of the current year.
