Two new laptops have been released by Gigabyte in Japan, the W241U-512 and the W551N-712, a 12.1 inch and a 15.4 inch. The Gigabyte Gigabyte W251U-512 has a WXGA 12.1 inches LCD display with a 1,280×800 native resolution and glossy panel. It’s powered by a Intel Core 2 Duo T7200, at 2.0Ghz, can hold up to 2GB of RAM and a 80GB HDD. Also, it features a Intel 945GM Express graphics, a DVD super multi drive and it only weight 1.9 kg.The Gigabyte W551N-712 has the same CPU, RAM and HDD as the W251U-512, but includes a stand alone graphics card, the GeForce Go 7400, with 128MB and weight 2.8 kg.

Both laptops are Vista compatible and come with it preinstalled. The 12.1 inch W251U-512 costs $1,323 and the 15.4 inch @551N-712 costs $1,405.
