A new milestone has been achieved, once with the overclocking of a Intel Pentium 4 to a whopping frequency of 8Ghz. The processor is a Intel Pentium 4 631 and it’s standard clock speed is 3Ghz, so it’s been managed to increase it with more than 100%, adding it 5Ghz more. The processor were has run on a modified ASUS P5B motherboard and under liquid nitrogen to keep it cool. The motherboard had an added copper pipe and the voltages modified to hold the overclock. Here is a proof of the extreme overclocking.
