The 2.0 version of the ExpressCard will be updated to keep up with today’s growing speeds, and is almost sure to be available somewhere between ’second-half 2008 / early 2009′. The card will comply with SuperSpeed USB (to be released by the end of this year, ‘part of the USB 3.0 specification) and PCI Express 2.0.

Although it is updated for conforming technology’s raising standards, those of us that use older devices don’t have to worry about the new card, as it would also work with them, as its previous version.
