DIY Ringtones for iPhones Possible Again

Apple showed an interesting recent hostile behavior against DIY ringtones. It comes in complete contrast with the company’s neutrality neutral policy towards third party iPhone software available. After only 10 days passed since the release of iTunes 7.4.1 (this eliminated the easy possibility of getting an individual’s own ringtones on the iPhone) we now witnessed the launch of iTunes 7.4.2. This update allows for applications like iToner and MakeiPhoneRingtones to add DIY ringtones to your new Apple mobile phone. The first problem you have to deal off though is the fact that your ringtones reach the iTunes ringtones folder but will not be copied to the iPhone. You will need to do something extra for this to happen: change the file extension back to .m4r after it gets transformed by your favorite software used to create it in the first place.
