DARPA Develops a Modular Space System

12 March 2008 One Comment

System F6

I think everybody remembers DARPA, that “company” with very ambitious projects. Well, now they are working on a space system called System F6 which consists of a new space technology and architecture. System F6 will provide wireless power systems, electromagnetic formation flying systems and ultra-secure wireless data communications.

After the Vulture Program and the System F6, we certainly don’t know what to expect of DARPA, but we are sure that soon we will hear more from them.

The Cleveland State lab I worked at played a significant part in NG getting this award, based on the proprietary wireless power transmission & receipt technology we developed, and then they dumped us. Pretty common with the way they do business. They tried to pay us peanuts for $million technology, but the IP owner, Dr. Taysir Nayfeh, wouldn’t let them rip it off.
