Thanko’s Solar Digital Audio Player features a 1.8-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 220×176, 4GB of internal memory and a miniSD slot up to 2GB, and it can handle MP3/WMA/WAV, and AVI/RM/VOB/DAT/RMVB. For the moment we don’t know when it will be available for shipping and the price is also unknown.

You can plug it in your iPod or cell phone and is able to offer only 2.4W for 6 to 8 hours, based on a 4 hours charge of its own USB chargeable battery. The $25 price offered by Think Geek makes me think it’s a real bargain.

Sony presented a few days ago a series of Walkmans in Japan and now they made it available for the United States market. The features of the portable media players vary - 1.8-inch or 2.4 QVGA display, 4GB to 16 GB internal memory, the only identical characteristic is the battery life - 10 hours video and 36 hours audio.
