UPEK Eikon Fingerprint Reader
[1 Jun 2007 | One Comment | ]

Finally a fingerprint reader that I like. The previous Cylon-red Microsoft Fingerprint Reader was demoted because of it doesn’t have support Firefox.A thing that the Eikon has improved ,is that it supports Firefox. That’s just one of the reasons why this Upek Digital Privacy Manager USB Fingerprint Reader shines. It offers Firefox and IE password handling so it’s very simple fot the reader to use . And it even works in Vista.
If you compare the Upek with the other fingerprint reader devices, you can’t say anything bad about it.It’s above …

[25 May 2007 | No Comment | ]

For a mouse that costs this much it doesn’t impress me with nothing particular. It’s made by the Swiss company Pat Says Now and it is encrusted with fifty nine brilliant cut diamonds totaling two carats. The diamonds are encrusted into the white gold body of the mouse in the shape of a lily hence named the diamond flower.
You can custom make this mouse with a design of your choice. Also it has a scroll ball and it’s very easy to take it with you in your briefcase when you travel.
The creators from …

The USB Piggy Card Reader
[3 Apr 2007 | No Comment | ]

For those who need a memory card reader, you should think about the Piggy one. It’s nice looking and very funny and it also reads a lot of memory cards, like T-flash/microSD, miniSD, MS, SD, CF, XD. The Piggy Card Reader is connectible via a USB cable with the PC and the other part of the cable goes right into it’s ass.

[5 Mar 2007 | One Comment | ]

Amex has released a touch sensitive keyboard, especially designed for Windows Vista. The TSK-VX7 uses the 2.4Ghz RF technology to connect the keyboard with an USB dongle over a 30 feet distance.  This keyboard may be very nice at the first touch, but in time it surely is stressful and hard to use.

Netgear WPN824 router
[28 Feb 2007 | No Comment | ]

There are a lot of wireless-networking devices making their way on the market, but a big part of them bring nothing new or nothing better.
This one has only the MIMO technology on the unit’s circuit board as such a feature. The unit has seven antennas which reconfigure and adjust to the environmental conditions.
The router’s browser-based configuration tool includes all you might expect and security includes an integrated firewall and MAC address filtering, as well as WEP and WPA encryption.
It has throughput, long range and it’s pretty small. Price is $79.99.

Eleksen’s Double-sided Keyboard
[23 Feb 2007 | No Comment | ]

Eleksen developed the UMPC pouch/keyboard a while ago, and now they are working on a double sided keyboard. On one side, you can find the standard QWERTY keys and on the other side media controls. Thing is that it has sensors built in so that when you are typing on one side the buttons on the other side are not pressed.
It might not be so useful for some users but it looks very good and it works just as good. It hasn’t been put up for sale, as it’s still a prototype.

Canon Pixma MP830
[22 Feb 2007 | No Comment | ]

This is a cheap multifunctional printer. But cheap doesn’t mean it’s not good. It features a document feeder, a built-in duplexer, a media card reader, and a USB port for printing straight from a camera. It works very fast, but the quality is not so perfect. It also includes a fax machine, an ADF, a duplexer, and a media card reader.
The design is ok. It measures 19.7 inches wide by 19.2 inches deep by 11.5 inches tall and weighs about 32 pounds; the automatic document feeder (ADF) is integrated into the scanner lid, making for a solidly constructed unit while the paper-support flap …

ONKYO ALUMINUM KEYBOARDS
[10 Feb 2007 | No Comment | ]

Onkyo just added two more entries to the Wavio Line, including a wireless desktop with a mouse  and a USB keyboard.

The thing is that  everything is crafted in solid aluminum, looking almost like an aeroplane, available in silver and black.
The all-aluminum set is completed by Onkyo’s PC HD. The small space tab may be a flaw, but that is just a matter of personal liking.
Onkyo has not announced a price for these yet.
