A new line of LCD displays has been released by Samsung today, at the International Conference and Exhibition on Display LEDs. The display are LED backlit and come it three sizes, 15.4, 30 and 40″. The 15.4 inches LCD display, LED backlit has a 1,440×900 pixels resolution and is 5.8mm thin, consuming only 3.1W. This display supports 262,000 colors and has a 330cd/m2 brightness, being special designed for laptops.The 30″ one has a WQXGA 2,560×1,600 pixels resolution and supports 16.7 million colors. Three new LCD TV Sets have been announced by JVC, the 32″ LT-32LC95, the 37″ LT-37LC95 and the 42″ LT-42LC95. Viewsonic has released a 17″ widescreen display, at a relatively low price of $200. The Viewsonic VA1703wb has a 1,440×990 native resolution, which is quite normal for this type of monitor, a contrast ratio of 500:1 and 250 cd/m2 brightness. It’s response time is 8ms, which is good and has just a VGA inputs, this being the only way to connect it with the PC. The display will be available in Q1 this year.

The TAXAN PS series 3 has been released by Kaga Electronics and consist of three DLP projectors. One of them is the PS125X and is a high end projector, that can get pictures from SD cards or USB drives. Buffalo has released a new 20.1 inch LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 800:1 contrast ratio, which are pretty good features. It’s named FTD-W2025ADSR, quite a complicated name, but it’s a good display and has good features.
