Running out of storage space on your 1 terabyte hard drive? Seagate has a solution.
Seagate on Thursday unveiled 1.5TB desktop and half-terabyte notebook hard drives, claiming industry firsts for both.
The Barracuda 7200 1.5TB drive is aimed at the desktop market and the half-a-terabyte jump in capacity from 1TB marks “the single largest capacity hard drive jump in the more than half-century history of hard drives”, according to the company. Both drives use perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) technology.

Yahoo! Games has announced it will offer its users over 400 ad-supported game titles by the end of 2008, working with Double Fusion and NeoEdge to provide pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll advertisements into thier games catalogue.
Yahoo Games contains a mix of editorial and entertainment content. In addition to reviews and articles, it hosts Web-based games in several categories from Flash-based to social to skill-based to strategy-based both ad-supported and paid. Yahoo believes embracing downloadable games will let it provide a richer user experience.

President George W. Bush said he will quickly sign into law a new spy Bill approved by the Senate, after a fierce standoff over the measure expanding legal authority for electronic wiretaps.
President Bush hailed the revised Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) passed by Congress today as a “vital intelligence Bill that will allow our national security professionals to quickly and effectively monitor the plans of terrorists outside the United States, while respecting the liberties of the American people”.

While we were waiting for Apple to announce the 3G iPhone, we found out that they are looking to add “Solar cells on portable devices” as their patent is called. The application, dated 24th April 2008, shows that Apple is planning to fit in solar cells on iPhones, iPods and MacBooks.

The deal between HBO and Apple is finally official and from now on you can download HBO’s content from iTunes. This agreement was expected for a while, but better later than never therefore you can start downloading, The Wire, Rome, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, and Deadwood.

Here is another sign which shows that 3G iPhone is on the way - the latest beta release of Firmware 2.0 specially made for the iPhone includes the “Enable 3G” mode which can be disabled and the iPhone will go back to GPRS/EDGE in order to save some battery, because 3G which is a faster service “decreases battery life”.
