HP desktops announced today, HP’s Pavilion Media Center TV m8000n PC only features a basic cosmetic redesign. Aside from the classier black coloring, the case looks largely the same as the older Pavilion Media Centers. HP also updated the configuration on this retail-only model, taking advantage of the ongoing AMD/Intel price war to deliver what we expect will be strong performance for its $950 price tag.

 The highly expected XPS 720 H2C Edition high-end desktop has been finally announced by Dell. The desktop has extreme performances, coming with a factory overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 or QX6800 processor, dual GeForce 8800 or GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics, overclocked Corsair Dominator DDR2 RAM, Blu-ray, 2×160GB SATA HDD and Dell H2C thermo electric/liquid cooling system.
It will soon be available in US and the Europeans will have to wait a few weeks, for the starting price of $6,000.

HP has recently announced the release of three new desktop PC series, the Pavilion Slimline s3000, a6000 and m8000. The first one starts with PCs from $500, which sport and AMD CPU and 1GB of RAM, also you can choose an Intel CPU, but you have to add an extra $50.
