HP desktops announced today, HP’s Pavilion Media Center TV m8000n PC only features a basic cosmetic redesign. Aside from the classier black coloring, the case looks largely the same as the older Pavilion Media Centers. HP also updated the configuration on this retail-only model, taking advantage of the ongoing AMD/Intel price war to deliver what we expect will be strong performance for its $950 price tag.

The desktop has extreme performances, coming with a factory overclocked Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 or QX6800 processor, dual GeForce 8800 or GeForce 8800 Ultra graphics, overclocked Corsair Dominator DDR2 RAM, Blu-ray, 2×160GB SATA HDD and Dell H2C thermo electric/liquid cooling system.
