Canon HV10
It looks familiar, and it’s the cheapest, smallest HDV camcorder to date, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have downsides.
It has a 3-megapixel 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor captures 1,920 horizontal and 1,080 vertical pixels for 1080i HD, or wide-screen SD, video which is pretty similar to the more expensive camcorders. The design is nice and the battery is small. The video quality is very good, the colors are sharp but it tends to blow out highlights.
You can choose many of the camcorder’s settings, and that would probably be a good thing because there are some problems with the automatic white balance and with mixed lighting.
So, it has a broad feature set but it also has some downsides which can take some time getting used to, but since it is so cheap, it’s probably a very good choice. Price is $899.00.
