According to the Chinese-language paper Economic Daily News, Apple plans to include exclusively BLU LED displays for all their MacBooks, starting next year. The same publication also states that Kenmos, their Taiwanese supplier of LEDs, could reach 1.5 million units this year, five times more than in 2007.
BLU LEDs is Kenmos’ main source of income, having over $66 million profits from them this year only. As we all know that communism, China’s form of government, imposes seriousness to all of the public newspapers, it’s very hard to believe that the Chinese Economic Daily News would make up a story such as this one.
