Backup Platinum Review

21 May 2008 No Comment

Backup Platinum is a software that backups your data on many types of storage media, easily. It supports hard drives, USB drives, CDs, DVDs or Blu-Ray and can also send the data to a FTP server or through a Local Area Network. It is very easy to use and your data will be secure, due to the 128-bit encryption with Blowfish the software provides, along with the ZIP compression, so the backups will be smaller and easier to transfer.

It really is a powerful software and can even erase a rewritable CD or DVD to backup the data on it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work on Linux or Mac, but supports all versions of Windows, from 95 to Vista. If you don’t have the time or forget to start the backups manually, you can simply schedule it to automatically start. Also, you don’t even to be logged in the OS, because it can work in service mode.

Another advantage is that it can even backup the files that are in use and also makes detailed logs of everything it does. In my opinion, Backup Platinum is a really good software, with a medium price of $67. Fortunately, they do offer a 30-day trial version, so you can be aware of what you are buying.
