Acer Aspire One Netbook $329 - $399
The already inexpensive Acer Aspire One was one of our favorite Netbook-style laptops in our recent roundup (”Building the perfect Netbook”). It had a great design, a 9-inch screen, and Intel’s Atom CPU, but we were less impressed with the paltry 512MB of RAM and middling battery life. But if you skipped Windows XP for the Linux version, you could get one for $379, making it a fairly good bargain, overall.
Acer seems to have heard our complaints, and while the company is not actually …

Eyes were bugging, mouths were watering, right index fingers were twitching for the longest time in anticipation of Nikon’s D3. With no desire to disappoint, the shutter icon pulled out all the stops of speed, durability, accuracy, features and ease-of-use in its first full-framed DSLR. When the news hit, there were a few raised eyebrows at the 12.1-megapixel output, but once the shutter started clacking its considerable improvements shone through and most of its doubters unfurrowed their brows.
Out of the box and straight up to the eye you’ll immediately enjoy …

If you examined the blood of a normal TG employee, you’d find it about 30% caffeine. We also like drinking coffee. And we are crazy about eating cookies. Could we ever combine all these joys into one? Well, if you’ve looked at the image on the left (as studies show you customer folk do first anyways), you know we already have. We are pleased, then, to make the formal introduction: Customers, meet Buzz Strong’s Caffeinated Cookies; Cookies, meet the customers.Source - Read More

It’ll cost a pretty penny for that plane ticket to Italy, lodging and other expenditures required to step into a gondola on the Grand Canal in Venice, look around, and have the gondolier take you closer to points of interest along the canal. But with Microsoft’s new PhotoSynth software and Web site, you can now take a free digital tour that consists not of video, but of an array of photos stitched together to recreate the scene in three dimensions.

If news of an upgraded PSP wasn’t enough for you, how about a new PS3 bundle? Sony has announced a 160GB PS3 that will hit stores in November for $500. The limited-edition system will also include the rumble-ized DualShock 3 controller and two games: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and (via a voucher for the PlayStation Store) Pain.
