AUO To Unveil World’s First Curved Display

At the Society for Information Display (SID) Display Week 2008 which will be held in the next few days in Los Angeles, California, AU Optronics (AUO) will unveil the world’s first curved TFT-LCD on glass substrate. They seems to like to be “world’s first” as they will also unveil world’s thinnest ultra-thin 0.63mm TFT-LCD for mobile phone apps.
The 0.63mm TFT-LCD will be available for 1.9-inch and for 8-inch versions, and the second sports a 400cd/m2 brightness and weighs 2.1 grams.
