Asus G1 Review
The Asus G1 is a midsize laptop, designed as a gaming system is pretty cheap, at $1,799. It’s gaming scores weren’t the best, but it’s reasonable. It has a 15.4 inch display and the laptop measures 1.6 inch high, 11.2 inches deep and 14 inches wide and is a good replacement of desktop. The Asus G1 is 7 pounds weight, heavier than most laptops of it’s class and size. It’s design is looking great, black and simple.
The display has a 1,280 x 800 resolution, which is a bit low than other laptops and won’t be very pleasant for you if you want to play games at high resolution.
The Asus G1 is good at conectivity, with 4 USB 2.3 jacks, a memory card reader, a mini Firewire jack, a PC Card slot, VGA, DVI and S-Video output fot pluging in external displays, mic and line-in audio jacks. It also comes with extra technologies, like 802.11a/b/g wireless, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a modem and a 10/100 Ethernet LAN.
As performance, it has a 2.0 GHZ Intel Core2Duo T7200 Processor, a 160 GB harddisk at 5,400 RPM, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM. The Asus G1 has a Nvidia GeForce GO7700 GPU, which is not the best option for a gaming system.
Another plus for it is the battery life, which is more than 3 hours. The laptop has only one year of warranty and shipment to warranty will be paid by the customer. As support, is not very good, the calls being hour limited and not toll-free.
