A new rugged tablet PC has been announced by Algiz, accompanying the many other rugged laptops, tablet PCs and UMPCs. The Algiz 8 tablet PC is extremely resistant and comes with a ULV M 1.0Ghz low voltage processor, 40GB HDD and up to 1GB of RAM. It has a 8.4″ SVGA display, which is enough for a tablet PC.

The battery is hot swappable and has 5,800mAh. Providing it’s components and battery, it’s lifetime should be high, but we can’t know for sure. The Algiz 8 also has a lot of features, like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and GPRS/CDMA are optional. Currently, we know nothing about price or release dat, but it’s not expected very soon.
