42Mbps Evolved HSPA For The 3G iPhone

A senior executive from Telstra told the Australian news site ChannelNews that the latest 3G iPhone that will be capable of 42Mbps by Christmas, which would make it the fastest iPhone in the world, and faster than many broadband offerings.
In 2007, Telstra’s Next G HSDPA network was capable of 14.4 Mbps. Before the end of the year, they had reached 21Mbps, at the GSMA Mobile World Congress, and now they are expecting a 42Mbps in 2009. For this outstanding progress, Telstra have been collaborating with Ericsson, and as the company’s CEO Sol Trujillo states, their ‘partnership with Ericsson continues to break the speed barrier’.
