Microsoft Windows 7 may be due to come out a far year and a half from now, but the brouhaha that manifests the curiosity and excitement among concerned sectors – or just about anyone – is all around, this early.
During the recent All Things Digital Conference, Microsoft top honchos Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer disclosed certain curious and teasing details about the next Windows OS. They talked about touch and multi-touch integration as among the big features to look forward to, and their derivation from Microsoft’s Surface Table. All Things Digital also provided the opportunity for a first look at the highly anticipated successor to the Vista.
We’ll keep an eye on developments, that’s for sure. But for now, we can all only speculate if Windows 7 will be an innovative breakthrough, or just a lackluster venture like its immediate predecessor.
