Previously we have presented you some very cool laptop concepts and as of today we will try to show you one concept each day. The first of the series is called Graphite Executive Laptop and it was designed by James Owen who is also responsible for many other interesting concepts.

The Graphite Executive Laptop consists of two very thin layers of metal which are based on electromechanical elements that are responsible for the functionality of the laptop. The GET is entirely sealed therefore you don’t need to worry about cracks or moisture. The laptop features touch-sensitive keyboard with backlighting and the information will be sent via wireless. For the moment, Graphite Executive Laptop is not available but we expect it to get on the market soon.

The Pufferfish PufferSphere is a digital display that offers a compelling 360° surface for anything to be projected on, and it is easy to set up anywhere due to its inflatable nature. It has either a 2 or 2.5 m diameter and it inflates by a self-contained base unit.
The PufferSphere is great for permanent installations as well as for temporary exhibitions as it is easy to set up, operate and to transport. It can be inverted, suspended, mounted on walls or just stand upright and it offers a full range of template-based content services to the users.
It can also be well seen from distance because of its impetuous size and this new platform is expected to set new standards in the world of content presentation.

The Tong City Bike has integrated light tubes all along the body for safer biking at night, making it more visible to drivers than the ones with just the classic flashlight in front. Aside that, all the components that assure its functionality, like the shock absorbers, the brake system, drivetrain and gears are hidden inside the iron plates.
It also has a mini lockable safe, for storing your wallet or mobile phone. Rudi Moosmeier is the designer of this futuristic-looking Tong City Bike, and this could be the first bike you may say that has a hood.

A new software called Scan and Solve is about to give a new perspective to scientists on how and where buildings, different structures and even bones are most likely to crack. The program works by analyzing photos of the items and by calculating the effects that outside forces like gravity may cause from interaction.
It is developed by the researchers from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Florida International University and as an example, they used the David statue of Michelangelo to point out its vulnerable zones. The statue already had problems in those areas, so Scan and Solve ‘predicted’ correctly.
By using this method, engineers, sculptors and many others will have an excellent idea of what areas of their structures need improvements or which of the current ones should be renovated. The software can also be useful to a great range of biomedical applications, as it is able to analyze the weaker areas of bones and to foretell where they are more likely to fracture first.

The Z-Flyer Hand Command Robot is a new device that floats in the air and that can be controlled with your bare hand. Turned on, it will stand in the air just above the ground, but if you place your palm under it, it will begin to follow your hand. That’s right, no remote control, just your hand.
Hand Command isn’t relying only on your hands, you can put him above your head or feet too and it will still follow your lead. It can even be ‘thrown’ between people on short distances, before it will return to level flight.
Hand Command is designed for flying indoors and it is the first Flying Toy that uses a 100% intuitive control method. It can fly seven minutes with ten minutes of charge and it costs just £24.95 (around $50).
