One Maglev Wind Turbine Equals 1000 Conventional Turbines
It’s been known that Maglev is an excellent technology for wind energy and now it became reality with the Super Powered Magnetic Wind Turbine. The Maglev doesn’t need ball bearings, the blades of the wind turbine being suspended above the machine’s base. Also, it doesn’t use electromagnets, but permanent magnets so it doesn’t need electricity, being another plus.It’s maintenance costs are also reduced due to the neodyum magnets that eliminate the energy loss through friction, also increasing the generator’s lifetime.
The Maglev wind turbines have a lot of advantages, over the conventional ones, like the operational costs reduced to 50%, generation capacity increased by 20% and the one gigawatt of power it can produce, while the conventional turbine only produces five megawatts. So only one Maglev turbine can power 750,000 homes, another advantage being it’s lifetime of 500 years. Unlike conventional turbines, it can use winds of speeds from 1.5 to 40 m/s.

Cool, but looks expensive and time consuming to build.
Has this actually been built, or are these stats just someone’s predictions about something that may be impossible (or impossibly expensive)?

It looks good all except for one flaw. It says that 1 Maglev turbine is equal to 1000 Standard turbines, and the numbers show that the Maglev can power more homes. That means that either the numbers were wrong or that the Maglev was even better than 1000 homes, not equal to.
