Google just announced that it will be shutting down its video service, leaving users that have rented or bought content unable to view the videos from now on. An e-mail was dispatched to the users in which the company said money will not be refunded. Instead, customers are offered fixed credit on the online payment system, Google Checkout. Nokia has offered the possibility to replace around 46 million batteries for its mobile phones after several reports of overheating while charging have been presented. It looks like the problems are appearing with BL-5C batteries manufactured by Matsushita between December 2005 and November 2006. Around 250 million batteries manufactured by others for Nokia are not affected.
Nokia said that there have been around 100 reports of overheating, and the battery in question has been used in more than 50 different phone models. The company’s statement was:
