XBOX Live Arcade Goes PC

Microsoft announced at Gamefest that the company will be releasing a new update this holiday season. It will be for their Games for Windows Live development tools, which allow developers to put their XBox Live Arcade games on PCs. It is still not known which titles will be available or how the system will work. American Airlines Sues Google

The world’s largest airline, American Airlines, just sued Google because of selling search words that involved the company’s name. This is just one of the many issues Google needs to deal with related to its pay-per-click advertising system, the main source of revenue the giant has. The web search company won more than two similar cases in the US, one with auto insurer GEICO, but still faces many claims both in the country and overseas.

The Spanish government recently announced that a plan will be carried out soon in order to stop speeding. The use of surveillance helicopters will become a reality in major cities. They will be able to determine the speed of the vehicle and even issue speeding tickets. Blizzard Sued by Founder Electronics Co.

Chinese IT firm Founder Electronics Co. is currently suing the developer of one of the most successful games ever, World of Warcraft. The reason stands in using some of its fonts without any permission. The company claims it lost around 132 million dollars (around one billion yuan) because of the unauthorized use of five fonts.

Wikipedia Entries Modified by CIA and FBI Computers

It was just discovered that individuals using FBI and CIA computers have edited some entries in the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia. The topics touched included the Guantanamo prison and the Iraq war. Such changes violate the Wikipedia conflict-of-interest guidelines. A new program called WikiScanner, developed by Virgil Griffith of the Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico, was the one that traced these modifications.
