Amazon’s Second Leek: Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III

Canon EOS ADs Mark IIISince Amazon made the mistake with the Canon EOS 50D, it is hard to believe that they would make another but they did. The problem at hand was probably lack of communication as another product, again from Canon had details it shouldn’t have had. The EOS 1Ds Mark III, a special 21.1 megapixel camera for professionals seems to appear around December 10. On Amazon, some lucky visitors got to read interesting details about the product.

We have here an 11 megapixel jump from the previous EOS 1D MARK III announced in February. Canon might have a very good digital camera here, featuring a 36X24 mm self cleaning CMOS sensor, 2 DIGIC III image processors linked in parallel, 45-points advanced auto focus, sRAW image support, Live View LCD (3 inch) with 5X or 10X magnification, CF, SD/SDHC storage support and continuous shooting at 5 fps.

It is not yet known if it will start shipping on the 10th of December and the price is probably not the one that will be at the time. It was stated on Amazon that the EOS 1D Mark III will cost $7,999.99. No matter the ending price, it will surely be close and the good side is that it is a little more official than in February. Amazon eventually pulled the delivery date and price from the page and later pulled the entire page for the digital camera.
