AT&T plans to buy Dobson Communications, a wireless operator in order to expand their network into suburban and rural areas in 17 states. The price stated is $2.8 billion dollars and it would mean AT&T pays $13 per share, a 17% overprice when compared with the stock’s closing price. It has also been stated that Dobson’s stockholders have approved the offer with a majority and the deal is to be finished by the end of the year.
