A new ultraportable Tablet PC has been announced by HP. The Compaq 2710P has a 12.1″ 1,280×800 pixels native resolution widescreen display, that weights only 3.6 pounds. It sports an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV CPU, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, 100GB HDD, 802.11a/b/g WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, ExpressCard/54 slot and EV-DO or HSDPA as options. Also, you can choose from FreeDOS, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Availability and pricing are unknown.

Samsung has also released a Intel Santa Rosa platform laptop, the 12.1″ Q45. It features an Intel core 2 Duo T7100 1.8Ghz, with a 800Mhz bus CPU, Nvidia GeForce Go 8400M 128MB and the 12.1 inches display has a 1,280×800 native resolution. The laptop also sports a 1.3 megapixel webcam and memory card reader, will be available soon in Europe for $1,578 or  €1,159, which is a good price for those specs.

Sony Ericsson has announced 4 more handsets, to follow their lines. The S500 is a slider walkman phone, featuring quad-band GSP and EDGE, lacking HSDPA, it’s memory can be expanded via the Memory Stick Micro slot, sports a 2 megapixel camera. Along with laptops, Santa Rosa convertibles start to get announced, in this case, by Fujitsu. The T4220 sports a Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 2.4Ghz, 802.11a/b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, but the other specs are quite low. HP is introducing the Pavilion HDX 20″ gaming laptop, with great performances and features, much better than the other 20″ laptops we’ve seen before. The laptop is supposed to come with Santa Rosa Core 2 Duos running at 2.4Ghz or even factory overclocked at 2.6Ghz. Unfortunately, the laptop weights 12 pounds, so we can’t talk about portability, but, fortunately, it will come with a GeFoce Go 8800 series graphics card, which is great for gaming.
