AMD Announced Phenom Processors and Radeon HD 2000 series

After Intel’s Santa Rosa platform release, AMD has also announced new dual and quad core chips, along with ATI graphics adapters.  The chips are designed for their latest FASN8 platform, that sports DDR2 SDRAM, 128 bit FPU, L3 shared cache, HyperTransport, Socker AM2 and AM2+ with Dual Socket Direct Connect.On the other side, ATI announced the Radeon HD 2000 series, includig HD 2400, HD 2600 and the HD 2900 XT, along with Avivo Blu-ray and HD DVD accelerators.

Nokia Announced N81 and N82 Handsets

 Another two great Nokia N-series have been announced, the N81 and N82. The first one, Nokia N81, is a great music phone, with a great design, 8GB of internal memory, quad band EDGE and 2,100Mhz HSDPA, 2.4 inches QVGA display, Wi-Fi, a 3.5 millimeter standard jack and Bluetooth 2.0.

eStarling WPF-187 Wi-Fi digiframe Released

Those new digiframes are great, being just as the old wooden photo frames, but the pictures being of a higher quality and the user having the ability to change the picture whenever he wants. eStarling digiframe 2.0 is one of those Wi-Fi digiframes, with a 7″ widescreen display, with anative resolution of 480×234. Teltonika Released TELTUSB3G HSDPA USB Modem

For older PCs, that doesn’t feature HSDPA, Teltonika has announced a $329 USB modem, that supports a SIM. The TELTUSB3G supports transfer speeds of up to 1.8Mbps via HSDPA, EDGE or GPRS and is connectible only via USB, being also powered through it. It allows the user to send text messages and use VoIP and should be already available in Europe for the specified price.

HANNspree Announced 6 Widescreen LCDs

Six new monitors have been announced by HANNspree in three sizes. There are three 19″ ones, the HG-191RPB, HS-191DPB and HW-194DJB, two 17″, the HW-173DBB and the $160 HW-173DBO, along with the 22″ HW-223DPB. The 22 inches one has a native resolution of 1,680×1,050, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, four USB 2.0 ports, 300cd/m2 brightness. The 19-inch ones will be priced between $200 and $230.

Psion Teklogix Announced Workabout rugged handhelds

Two new rugged handhelds were announced by Psion Teklogix, running Windows CE 5.0 or WinMo 6 Professional, as the customer chooses. The Workabout Pro C features an alphanumeric keypad, while the Pro S just a numeric one.

The Psion Teklogix handhelds are sport a PXA270 520Mhz processor, 128MB of SDRAM, 128MB of Flash ROM, GSM, GPRS, EDGE WWAN, Bluetooth, integrated speaker and mic, optional 802.11b/g WiFi via the CF adapter. Of course, they are imune to dust, shock and rain, being rugged. Currently we know nothing about price and availability.

RCA EZ201 Small Wonder Released

RCA has announced the release of EZ201 Small Wonder flash based camcorder. The camera is very small, it doesn’t feature optical zoom, only has 512MB of interal memory, a 1.5″ LCD display, memory expansion via the SD memory card slot, MemoryManager Soft. The camcorder has a battery lifetime of 2 hours with two AA batteries and it’s priced at $119.99, with a 1GB SD memory card included.

Panasonic Let’s Note CF-Y7 Santa Rosa Announced

Panasonic’s first Santa Rosa platform laptop has been announced. The CF-Y7 sports a 14.1″ 1,400×1,050 native resolution LCD display, a Intel Core 2 Duo L7300 1.4Ghz, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, super multi drive and comes with Windows Vista Business preloaded.

Also, it features a 80GB HDD, SD memory card reader and it lacks ExpressCard, in favor of PCMCIA. Panasonic Y7’s battery has a lifetime of 7.5 hours and should be priced at $2,227 or Â¥275,000.

Sony Vaio AR and SZ Introduced

Sony has introduced the SZ and AR Santa Rosa laptop lines, with Intel Core 2 Duo processors from 1.8Ghz to 2.0Ghz, at 800Mhz FSB and 802.11n WiFi. The Sony AR has an Nvidia GeForce 8400M, an integrated webcam, HDMI output, a Blu-ray burner, digiTV tuner with CableCARD slot and a 17.8 inches XBRITE display. Unfortunately, it weights 8.4 pounds.

Gateway Released E-475M Santa Rosa

Gateway has released two Santa Rosa business laptops, the E-265M and E-475M. The two laptops are almost identical, excepting the display size. The E-265M has a 14.1 inches display, while the E-475M has a 15.4 inches one and they sport a Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, being the customer’s choice, an Intel GMA X3100 or ATI Radeon HD X2300 graphics card and a 10 hours and a half battery lifetime, if you choose the 12-cell battery and the modular one. The laptops have a $1,399 starting price, being reasonable.

Acer Aspire 5920 Santa Rosa Announced

 Acer has announced a new laptop with a great design, the Aspire 5920, powered by a Intel Core 2 Duo. Of course it’s using the new Santa Rosa chipset along with the 15.4″ LCD display, Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 256MB graphics card. Also, it features a HSMI port, a HD DVD drive, DVB-T tuner, Acer Bluetooth VoIP phone, Intel Robson cache-to-flash technology. Currently, pricing or availability are unknown.

Intel Released Santa Rosa Chipset

As you’ve probably noticed, there are dozens of laptops getting announced those days, that will use Intel’s Santa Rosa chipset. Now, the chipset has been released and has a FSB( front side bus ) of 800Mhz, instead of the old one’s 667Mhz. There are many processors that use the new chipsets, like the 1.8Ghz T7100, 1.4Ghz L7300, 1.7Ghz L7500, 2Ghz T7300, 2.2Ghz T7500, 2.4Ghz T7700. Panasonic Strada CN-NVD905U Released

The first Panasonic navigation system for the US has been released. The Strada CN-NVD905U uses NAVTEQ maps, a 7 inches touchscreen and has lots of entertainment features, like iPod video compatibility, a 30GB HDD, MP3 CD and DVD playback, Sirius or XM satellite stations, as the customer chooses. Also, it sports Bluetooth, Sirius Traffic and it costs $1,800.

Fujitsu Announced Another Santa Rosa Laptop: Lifebook S6410

Fujitsu has released yet another Santa Rosa platform laptop, the tenth this week. The Lifebook S6410 sports a 13.3 inches LCD display, a Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel 965 chipset and GMA X3100 graphics card. It also features a Smart Card reader, a webcam, UMTS modem, Bluetooth and Intel Turbo Memory Robson. We currently don’t know it’s price or release date.

DiXCOM CNS-4320 Navigation System with GPS and GPRS

There are a lot of mobile phone with GPS receiver, but we fairly see navigation systems with GSM and GPRS. The CNS-4320 is one of those rare devices, that serves mostly as a navigation system and secondary as a cell phone. It operates the Windows CE 5.0 and sports a SiRFStar III GPS receiver, TMC traffic data reception, media player, SD and MMC memory card slot.
