RIM BlackBerry Pearl Red (AT&T)
[20 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

The RIM BlackBerry Pearl did good, ever since it came out; this version doesn’t bring anything revolutionary but it has some new features that give it a new spin. It has a design which is probably makes it the best looking BlackBerry to date. It measures 4.2 by 2.0 by 0.5 inches and it weighs 3.1 ounces.
Also, it’s available in dark ruby red or in a glossy black-and-chrome finish. The 2.25-inch TFT screen that displays 65,000 colors at a 240×260-pixel resolution is very big and makes it look good but …

Sanyo Xacti CG65
[20 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

The Sanyo Xacti CG65 is a digital compact camera. Even if it looks like a video camcorder (and can function like one, at VGA level), it is primarily a still camera, which brings to mind the Canon Powershot TX1’s form factor.
The Sanyo Xacti CG65 packs it in at 6 megapixels and 5x optical zoom. It also features what Sanyo claims to be a high-precision LSI (large-scale integration) engine III for image processing. That’s supposed to enable the Sanyo Xacti CG65 digital camera to realize image processing functions such as real-time …

Sony KDS-R60XBR2
[20 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

If you want the best quality even if it’s expensive, this is probably a good choice for you. It may look massive because the speakers it uses extend beyond the already massive television’s frame, but it would look so even if they wouldn’t. It measures 66×40×20.3 inches and it weighs 121 pounds.
The speakers are not so pretty looking; they are silver, while the screen itself is framed by a glossy black border and also there is a gray pedestal base supports the silver cabinet, and a small panel opens up to reveal an A/V input with composite video …

Samsung SPH-72x Photo Frames
[19 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

The new 8- and 12-inch version will be released later in the year. The 800 x 480 pixel 7″ photo frames will have Wi-Fi enabled and will be able to search for PCs with Vista, displaying photos, movies and MP3s stored on the PC via Windows Media Player 11, and that will probably be very interesting to see.
Also, the photo frames come with a 4-in-1 memory card reader and a USB port for cameras. That will also work for some other portable devices. You can also try the one without Wi-Fi and that …

HTW Electronics S116 Solar Cellphone
[19 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

If you always need just a few more minutes to talk on the phone, you may want to consider this. It’s supposed to give you 20 to 25 minutes more talkies if you leave it sitting in the sun for 40 minutes but so far it has only been a vaporware presentation. It announces to be pretty useful as you can charge it from some candles or from any light source when it’s cloudy.
It may develop from the project state and if it does, it will probably have the standard features, nothing special but nothing big …

Sony Ericsson W810i
[19 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

It goes against the current tendency, to make cell phones smaller and skinny. It can be called a well fed model as it’s a high-featured, well-performing model. It’s black, measures 3.9 by 1.8 by 0.8 inches and it weighs 3.5 ounces. The screen measures 1.8 inches diagonally (176×220 pixels) and it supports 262,144 colors. It’s hard to see when it’s in in direct light, but the colours are sharp and the menus are easy to scroll but you can’t change the backlighting time or the text size.
The menus are attractive, user-friendly …

Pretec i-Disk RFID
[16 Mar 2007 | No Comment | ]

It probably won’t be so useful, except maybe for hospitals, airports and warehouses, but this flash drive is certainly interesting.
It measures 45.7 x 12.2 x 2.2mm and it’s smaller than a quarter, but it can store up to 1GB of data. It uses USB flashdisk and RFID technology and it has been mande using a semiconductor MCP process. It will be produced in the next few months, and this flash drive might be not useful or it may be. You judge that.
