There are a lot of wireless-networking devices making their way on the market, but a big part of them bring nothing new or nothing better.
This one has only the MIMO technology on the unit’s circuit board as such a feature. The unit has seven antennas which reconfigure and adjust to the environmental conditions.
The router’s browser-based configuration tool includes all you might expect and security includes an integrated firewall and MAC address filtering, as well as WEP and WPA encryption.
It has throughput, long range and it’s pretty small. Price is $79.99.

This device has been released over a year ago, but still it can handle most of today’s requirements, just like the newer ones. It’s pretty big, it measures 4.7 by 2.8 by 0.8 inches and pretty heavy, weighs 6.8 ounces.
It has a 3.7-inch-diagonal screen with a 320×480-pixel resolution that displays 65,000 hues. The screen is colorful and the colours are well defined, but the sunlight affects the image quality. Below the screen there are some shortcuts (Home, Files, Media, and one unassigned application) that can be customized, according to what you need. They surround a five-way navigation toggle that is also a select button. Left side is home for a voice recorder button and also one that lets you change modes (Portrait and Landscape), while on the right and the top you can find the SDIO/MMC expansion slot, the power/hold switch, and the infrared port.
It has a 416MHz Intel XScale processor. It takes a while to switch between applications and the videos don’t have such a good quality. There is no problem with the photographs, and when playing MP3 the sound is very smooth. It also has an integrated 4GB Hitachi hard drive (3.85GB is user accessible). Wi-Fi is also integrated.
The PalmOne LifeDrive runs Palm OS 5.4 and features Documents To Go 7.0 for viewing, creating, and editing Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files and for opening Adobe Acrobat files. The battery is not user-replaceable, but the device doubles as USB drive. Price is $229.95.

For those of you who dislike the wiring of headphones and also dislike small headphones, this may be a choice for you to consider. The DR-BT50 has been released.
It weighs 180 grams and delivers a lot of bass, as it functions on 20 to 20,000Hz and can last about 17 hours. You get a hands-free function and it supports the A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP protocol.

Panasonic released two portable DVD players, the LX87-S and the LS80-K. They both have a 8.5-inch screen, but the noticeable thing is that the LX87 has the longest battery life, 12 hours, three times more than most of the other.
The DVD players don’t bring any other radical features, just the usual: MP3 playback, JPEG viewing, compatibility with SD and SDHC memory cards, the LX87 even has a 1Seg TV tuner. The models will be released soon.

The Canon ZR850 was released, but it doesn’t bring so many improvements. That doesn’t mean it’s not a good camcorder.
The 35x zoom and a 1-megapixel CCD sensor are nice improvements. The screen is 2.7-inch wide. All the controls are easy to use. The menu system has been redesigned and it’s easier to use; it has many customizing options, from white balance settings to image effects. The resolution is up to 1,152×864.
The quality of the video is very good. Colors are very vibrant, but the focusing wasn’t perfect. That is even with a tripod. It also has an option which lets it make decisions for you (autopilot).
So, it continues the ZR tradition, it’s easier to use, colors are good, and it’s not so expensive. But it has no microphone input and doesn’t support analog-to-digital conversions and it also has poor low-light performance . Price is $279.65.
