Triple layer HD DVD – 51GB

HD DVDs to expand from 30GB to 51GB, according to CES. It seems that there has realised the increase from 15 to 17GB per layer and that there has added one more layer to HD DVD discs. This results a 17 x 3 GB, which means a 51 GB HD DVD, a great improvement. Unfortunately, it seems they won’t be released on the market until fourth quarter of this year, because there has to be done a standardization with the optical drives.
